CLUB UPRISING
>> Moving Students Forward >>

Many times the simple fact of having an encourager in the life of a student can have a transforming effect in that young person's life. This crucial element in the life of a young person is facilitated by Club Uprising through our mentors. Students also have the opportunity to build healthy, meaningful relationships with other students in their small groups. These two factors will ensure that each student involved in Club Uprising will feel like a champion on a winning team.
Through participation in Club Uprising, each young person will be encouraged and equipped to become a better student and better person. They will be taught the importance of integrity, to be others' conscience, and to be obedient to authority. Students will meet weekly in mentorship groups to discuss their frustrations and receive guidance. Mentors, many times, become liaisons between the student and their parents and teachers. This functions to communicate the needs of the student to the authority and to also express the desires of the authority to the student. We have seen several students freed from destructive behaviors such as: alcohol, drugs, gangs, violence, stealing, smoking, harmful relationships, poor study habits, low work ethic, and even bad attitudes.
